Top notch police force keeps us safe.
We are Maitland residents and TWICE now have received tickets in the mail for failing to wait a certain amount of time before making a right turn at a red light. At one intersection there was no signage indicating to stop first. I have noticed some intersections in the city have a white sign indicating to stop first, while others don't. (Keep in mind this is different than intersections that have a red arrow light indicating no turn on red or a white sign indicating NO turns allowed on red).
Maitland police force is horrible. I was arrested and they took my iPad and my phone let me go and held my devices for "evidence" just got them back cracked!!!!!
Officer refused to identify himself and then signed the traffic citation with only initials ... sure fire way to prove you are crooked and deceitful. Upon learning I was lost and confirming I was from out of the area, the offficer just pointed and left without speaking.
Please understand how confusing this is for residents. If you are going to be in the business of punishing your residents for innocent mistakes, then perhaps you can use some of my money to actually make signage at intersections more uniform and consistent. As it is, we try to warn our friends now to avoid driving your streets if possible.
